“So high [above all] is Allah, the Sovereign, the Truth. And, [O Muhammad], do not hasten with [recitation of] the Qur’an before its revelation is completed to you, and say, “My Lord, increase me in knowledge.”

Throughout the year of 2016 Shaykh Yasir has taken the community on a journey through the Four Prophetic Spheres through a series of Khutbah and Halaqa. Check out the playlist below to journey through the sphere of Knowledge.

Imam Mohamed Nabeel

Course Description

Mu’allem: Becoming a Quran Teacher, formerly known as Advanced Tajweed, is a course aimed at training individuals to become qualified Quran teachers within the community. Students will learn how to properly recite the Quran under Qari Mohamed Nabeel, who possesses a certification (ijazah) in the hafs method of recitation. In addition to improving one’s own recitation, Imam Muhammad Nabil will be teaching students in the course how to teach this same content to other learners. By the end of the course, the goal is that every student will become a teacher to teach the proper recitation of the Quran and tajweed to people in the community. In this way, students will be acting on the saying (hadith) of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), when he said, “The best among you are those who learn the Quran and teach it.”

In addition, based on the level of the students, Imam Muhammad Nabil will set a memorization goal that all students will be required to complete to graduate from the course. Thus, students will be able to put into practice their newfound knowledge of tajweed and continue improving on their personal relationship with the Quran.
